Presentation at TCV School Selakui about Asia-Pacific Schools Initiative (APSI) Programmes organised by CEP

During morning assembly at 7:15 am of TCV School Selakui, APSI fellows from fore mentioned school conducted an awareness session. Ms. Nyima Tenzin , Ms. Tenzin Tselha and Mr. Tshering Dhondup shared about Centre For Escalation of Peace (CEP) and APSI community programmes. They also shared about their experiential learning throughout the APSI programmes held for fifteen days at Jhalawar, Rajasthan and Delhi.

The session was started by tuning a minute of Tibetan radio news about APSI and participation by Tibetan students and a teacher. Then, the APSI fellows presented about CEP, APSI programmes and shared their learning experiences. At the end of the presentation, they showed a short video clip showcasing their learning. It was concluded by tuning again to a VOT Radio news about the same.

A day in Delhi

Day XVI
March 30, 2017; Thursday

At 4:30 am, we arrived at Hazzarat Nizzamuddin Railway station. After half an hour, we board bus and travelled towards International Youth Center. At 5:19 am, we reached International Youth Center and thereafter we were allotted rooms. We had good time for refresh ourselves and relax till good breakfast at 7:30 am. Then, we had choice time till 4:00 pm. All the fellows of APSI had memorable and enjoyable time going around Delhi for site seeing. 

At 5:05 pm, we departed from from Viswa Yuvak Kendra Hostel by bus to Vassant Valley School. The bus took almost an hour and reached safely at 5:50 pm at Vasant Valley School. We were welcomed by the coordinators and some of the school representative. There was tea and snacks for refreshment. All the APSI fellows had memorable visits around the beautiful school campus. Afterwards, at 6:30 pm, we had gathered for the final warp up session by Mr. Amjad Ali. Sir, thanked every people who had been working hard to make the APSI program successful. This was followed by collection of reflections and roadmap documents from participants.

At 7:00 pm, participants were engaged in games and dance by Ms. Dilreen Kaur. After an hour and half, we had dinner and left Vassant Valley School at 9:05 pm. At 9:45 pm, we reached Visva Yuvak Kendra and dispersed in respected rooms.  

Last day at Jhalawar

DAY XV
March 29, 2017; Wednesday

The last day at Pallavan School, Jhalawar had been memorable to all the participants. The morning session was started at 9:00 am. It was about showcasing movement art and presentation of project works in group.  The session was headed by Mrs. Nitya Ram and Ms. Dilreen Kaur. Students performed their movement art (dance and human machine) with their self composed music without musical instrument. Every group also presented about their projects. The aims of respective project groups are as follow;           
  • Philosophy group: To make others aware and realise their potential and encourage them so that they become optimistic and potential.               
  • Community group: To bring school community together by installing ‘We care box’ in school and working with counselor to resolve conflicts.         
  • Environment group: To make people aware about organic farming.
  • Evolution of societies group: To create awareness among public about socio-cultural evolution so as to make people accept similarities and celebrate those.   
  • Aesthetics groups: To create awareness through different forms of arts.
  • Livelihood groups: To build sustainable livelihood among public


At 12:23 pm, morning session was ended for 10 minutes interval for tea. After the recess, all the participants gathered for feedback writing session. Then, participants left Pallavan School for lunch at RTDC, Jhalawar. After lunch, all the participants get ready and packed their belongings and at 3:35 pm, we took cabs to Kota. After reaching Kota, we had dinner at 6:35 pm at Maheshwari Foods and then started journey to Kota railway station and departed from there at 9:00 pm.
